Seno Mariano es una colección de imagenes hecha en respuesta a mi cirugano plásctico pidiendome cartas de preparación para poder recibir una masectomia como cirugía de affirmación de género. 

                                                                                           Mi pecho es ahora Mariano, Ya se de donde viene el dolor.


Seno Mariano is an ongoing collection of images made in response to my plastic surgeon asking for letters of readiness to be able to recieve a mastectomy for a gender affirming surgery.

                                                                                                                My chest is now Mariano, I know where the pain comes from.

Renata Escamilla Vivian (b.2001) grew up in Estado de México and Mérida, Yucatán. Their family upbringing  in México informs their interest in the domestic space as a place that produces notions of femeninity, which they investigate through archives, fibers, installation and performance.

They recently graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
